Complexity72h will take place at Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain.

Lodging: The venue is called Colegio Mayor – Residencia de Estudiantes Fernando Abril Martorell, which is the student’s residence from the Carlos III University in the Leganés Campus. Both accommodation, meals, and projects will be located in the same building. The specific location is Calle de la Palmera, 12, 28918 Leganés, Madrid, España.

It is important to take into account that Madrid is a big (very big) city, and the venue is a bit far from the city center. Most likely you will reach Madrid by plane if you live abroad, so we will give some guidelines on how to reach the city center and the venue by public transport. In the airport, depending on your specific flight, you might arrive at a different terminal (T1, T2, T3 or T4). The airport is located in the north-eastern part of the city, while the venue is located in the south-western part. So, bear in mind that there is a long trip between both, and it cannot be covered by walking.

Any of the trips can be done using a taxi. You can take the public ones, which are white and present all over the place, or the ones managed by private companies like Cabify or Uber, using the corresponding app. In any case, prices are high for this option: you may expect 40-50 € to go from the airport to the venue, 30-40 € in case you go from the airport to the Atocha train station, which is a hub of public transport located in the city center, and around 15€ if you go from Atocha (city center) to the venue. For private companies, the price will be fixed in the app once you give the origin and destination, and for public taxis, the price is variable depending on the distance and the time (if there is more traffic, the price may be higher). 

In case you want to use public transport, there are three options to move within Madrid, and you may need to use more than one for some of the routes. 

• Metro: It works from 06:00 am to 01:30 am.
• Renfe (Train): It works from 05:30 am to 00:00 am (approximately, some trains may end a bit earlier).
• Bus: It works from 06:00 to 23:30 pm. 

If you travel at night, there are some night special service buses. However, take into account that the service is slower and you may need to wait at the stations for a long time. 

Here we present some typical routes you may take to reach the venue or the city center, depending on the time of the day. To take the Metro or the Renfe (train), tickets are sold in the vending machines at the entrance of each station. You just need to type in your destination, and the machine will charge the corresponding price. For the metro you need to buy a card that is charged and costs around 2 € the first time you buy it. The bus can be paid directly on board. These are some ideas for the routes. However, Google Maps works nicely for route recommendations, including real-time constraints (like train lines stopped due to unexpected events) and the time of the day. So, we encourage you to use it to decide your final route.

AIRPORT – VENUE (up to 1h 20min)
Option 1: Using only Metro. You can take Metro Line 8 (pink), from Terminals 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the Nuevos Ministerios station. Then, in the Nuevos Ministerios you need to take Metro Line 10 (dark blue) from Nuevos Ministerios to Puerta del Sur. Finally, you need to take Metro Line 12 (yellow-green) from Puerta del Sur to San Nicasio, and walk 5 minutes to the venue.
Option 2: Using Renfe and Metro. This route starts at Terminal 4 (if you arrive at Terminals 1, 2 or 3, use Option 1 or use the Metro Line 8 to go to Terminal 4 first).  You can take either lines C1 or C10 of Renfe (train) from Terminal 4 to the Atocha Train Station. Then, you need to change trains to take line C5 to go from Atocha to Leganés station. In Leganés you can either walk to the venue (20 minutes) or change means of transport and take Metro Line 12 from Leganés to San Nicasio, like in Option 1. 
Between Options 1 and 2, Renfe tends to be faster, but waiting times are longer. 
If you arrive at night, between 01:30 and 05:30, Metro and Renfe will be closed. You can either wait until they open or use night buses. We don’t provide a specific route here because depending on the specific time you arrive you may concatenate more than one night bus and the route may change. The best option is to look for Google Maps recommendations depending on your situation, but bear in mind that the trip can take very long and it may be worth waiting until Metro or Renfe open.
CITY CENTRE – VENUE (up to 40 minutes)
Option 1: Using only Metro. You can take Metro Line 3 (yellow) from Sol to Plaza de España, then change trains to take Metro Line 10 (dark blue) from Plaza de España to Puerta del Sur, and then change again trains to take Metro Line 12 (yellow-green) from Puerta del Sur to San Nicasio. Option 2: Using only Renfe. From the city centre you can walk to Atocha or Embajadores train stations, and take line C5 to Leganés train station. From there you can walk to the venue, or take the Metro Line 12 to San Nicasio.  
If you are in the city center at night and the Metro or Renfe are closed, you can reach the venue using the night bus N803 that goes from Atocha train station to Leganés, and then walk to the venue (around 20 minutes). Again, this trip can take a long due to the lack of buses at night.
